Blondie: I like your comment. Its true that elders meetings are a REAL EYEOPENER.
If you have attended one, then you KNOW there is no love between them.

i thought the kingdom ministry feb 2014 had a couple interesting things in it:.
1. a short talk encouraging the jw sales force to publicize the jw.org website at every opportunity.. 2. do not put out bibles on your table displays keep them hidden underneath.
i thought they were so p-p-p-p-proud of their new nwt??.
phizzy, we were thinking the same thing at the same time.

bibles cost too much to "give" away
hi, i have not been on much lately due to family circumstances , but i would like to wish everyone on jwn .
a very merry christmas .
please use this thread everyone to add your own christmas greetings .
A very happy Christmas to all. May you all have a simply magical time. Christmas is made for that.
i finally decided to post.
i'm so scared of being caught, so i'll be vague.
i'm an appointed brother.
Welcome to the board Kneehighmiah.
Serving as an elder is a real eye opener. I often think that if elders meetings could be televised, as many parliaments now do, then so many more R&F
would leave the "organisation".
From my experience, there are always one or two genuine loving and caring elders, who believe they can make a difference, but sooner or later, they
step down, completely disillusioned by what they have seen.
It is very commendable that you wish to help everyone you meet.
You'll find the support you need here on the board. Good luck.

whilst searching for ideas of what to make with clover flowers i came across this quote:.
information, folklore, recipes, and resources -- all about the delicious, nutritious clover plant.. .
clover is one of the most famous of weeds, commonly sharing space with grass in lawns.. .
Don't forget the French fleur-de-lis..
Yes, we give it to our ladiers on MayDay. It is supposed to bring good things in the year ahead.

OK, so this thread is just to emphasise the absurdity of JW tenets.

Clover is viewed by many as having folkloric and religious symbolism, but it can also be viewed as a food!
On the same lines as a recent topic about toasting, I wonder if Jehovahs Witnesses should really allow clover to grow in their lawns?
By the way, if anyone does have some ideas for recipees including clover, I would like to hear them.
I wish you all a very agreeable weekend. JLP
i remember hearing about quickly builds how this was a sign of jehovah's spirit that the kh could be built in 3 days.
but what i am wondering is just how successful we're these builds.
i can think of a couple of halls that were built by the quickly built methods that i would suspect they would of lost money on.
Our QB was controlled by a small group of "tradesmen" elders.
The rest of us willing volunteers were clearly looked down upon. I was on several occasions badly spoken to, the goal, to raise laughter among others around. I heard language that I would rather have expected on a " worldly" building site.
The last time I went, I ended up having just one desire: to smash the shovel I was using, firmly and squarely in the face of another " brother".
I didnt do it. I took my things , went home, and never went to help again.
I felt at the time that they had robbed me of enjoying a " wonderful" experience.
